1. Purpose
These Terms and Conditions of Sale (TCS) apply to IT troubleshooting and repair services provided by Tera24, intended for private customers. Every intervention is preceded by a free quote, expressly accepted by the customer before any work is carried out.
2. Services offered
Tera24 operates on-site or remotely for: - Diagnosis and repair of computers, tablets, smartphones - Software and hardware troubleshooting - Installation or reinstallation of operating systems - Data recovery
3. Quotes and pricing
Each intervention is subject to a free quote, detailing the services to be performed and their cost. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Prices are expressed in euros, VAT not applicable – article 293 B of the French General Tax Code. A minimum billing fee may apply, even for short or unresolved interventions.
4. Payment terms
Payment is due at the end of the intervention, unless otherwise stated. Accepted payment methods are: cash, bank transfer, credit card via terminal or secure link. Payments by cheque are not accepted. In case of unjustified cancellation less than 24h in advance or refusal of intervention (absence, inaccessible equipment…), travel costs may be charged.
5. Warranty
Tera24 guarantees its repairs for 3 months from the date of intervention, under the following conditions: - The issue must be identical to the one initially identified. - No hardware or software modifications must have been made without Tera24’s consent. - Parts supplied by the client are not covered under warranty. - Parts replaced by Tera24 are covered within the limits of the manufacturer’s or distributor’s warranty. Any warranty claim will be subject to prior diagnosis.
6. 'Fixed or refunded' guarantee
If the issue clearly identified by the customer cannot be resolved, no payment will be required, except for potential travel fees. Exclusions from this guarantee: - Refusal of a viable proposed solution (e.g., reinstallation) - Issues that cannot be reproduced or are due to external factors - Customer refusal to proceed with a necessary replacement - Cases where the equipment is deemed irreparable or obsolete
7. Liability & data
The customer is responsible for backing up their data before any intervention. Tera24 cannot be held liable for any data loss. A recovery attempt may be proposed, with no guarantee of success. The customer agrees to provide necessary access (passwords, etc.). Tera24 commits to maintaining the confidentiality of any data accessed during the service.
8. Software & antivirus
Tera24 guarantees the proper functioning of systems, software or antivirus at the time of installation. Any subsequent issue (virus, expired license, mishandling, update…) is not covered by the warranty. Free antivirus solutions provided are for guidance only. Their effectiveness and duration are not guaranteed.
9. Client refusal or obsolete equipment
If the client refuses a technically valid solution (e.g., part replacement, reinstallation), the service will be considered completed. Tera24 reserves the right to refuse service on equipment deemed too old or irreparable.
10. Unofficial or pirated software
Tera24 does not work on systems or software of illegal or questionable origin. If such items are discovered, the intervention may be suspended without refund.
11. Software or licenses provided by the client
When installing software, systems, or licenses provided by the client, Tera24 declines all responsibility regarding: - The legality of the license - Compatibility with the hardware - Proper functioning over the medium or long term
12. Sensitive data and service interruption
If illegal, dangerous, or ethically sensitive content or files are discovered, Tera24 may immediately stop the service without refund.
13. Service report
A report can be provided upon prior request. No report is issued automatically.
14. Unclaimed equipment / abandonment
The client has 30 days after notification to retrieve any dropped-off equipment. After this period: - A formal notice will be issued - Storage fees (€5/week) may apply - The equipment may be considered abandoned and then sold or recycled
15. Travel costs
Travel is included free of charge within a 20 km radius of Saint-Chamassy (24260). Beyond that, fees apply: €10 flat rate + €0.50 per additional kilometer (one-way only). These fees are always stated in the quote.
16. Non-solicitation of subcontractors
If a subcontractor or partner of Tera24 is involved, the client agrees not to contact them directly for an independent service. Any attempt to bypass this rule may result in contractual and legal action.
17. Modification of the TCS
Tera24 reserves the right to modify its TCS at any time. The applicable version is the one in force on the date of quote acceptance. An updated version will always be available on www.tera24.fr or upon request.
18. Mediation and disputes
In case of dispute, the client may send a complaint to: contact@tera24.fr. In accordance with article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, they may also contact a mediator free of charge: CM2C – 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris – www.cm2c.net – cm2c@cm2c.net.
19. Acceptance of the TCS
The quote signature constitutes full acceptance of these TCS. The quote indicates that the TCS are available on www.tera24.fr or upon request. Acceptance may be handwritten or electronic, depending on the validation method used.
