General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS)

Purpose

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS) apply to all computer repair and IT support services provided by Tera24 to private customers.

Every service is preceded by a free quotation, which must be expressly accepted by the customer before any work is carried out.

Services Provided

Tera24 provides on-site and remote assistance, including:

  • Diagnosis and repair of computers, tablets and smartphones
  • Hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Installation or reinstallation of operating systems
  • Data recovery

Quotations and Pricing

Every intervention is subject to a free quotation detailing the work to be carried out and its cost.

Quotations remain valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

All prices are expressed in euros (€).

VAT not applicable – Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (CGI).

A minimum service charge may apply, including for short interventions or cases where the issue cannot be resolved.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed.

Accepted payment methods:

  • Cash
  • Bank transfer
  • Credit or debit card (payment terminal or secure payment link)

Cheques are not accepted.

If an appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time without valid reason, or if the intervention cannot take place because the customer is absent or the equipment is inaccessible, travel charges may be invoiced.

Warranty

Repairs carried out by Tera24 are covered by a 3-month warranty from the date of the intervention, subject to the following conditions:

  • The fault must be identical to the one originally diagnosed.
  • No hardware or software modifications must have been carried out without Tera24’s approval.
  • Parts supplied by the customer are not covered by the warranty.
  • Parts supplied by Tera24 are covered only within the limits of the manufacturer’s or distributor’s warranty.
  • Any warranty claim is subject to prior inspection.

"Fixed or Your Money Back" Guarantee

If the clearly identified issue reported by the customer cannot be resolved, no payment will be required, except for any applicable travel expenses.

This guarantee does not apply in the following situations:

  • The customer refuses a technically appropriate solution (for example, reinstalling the operating system).
  • The fault cannot be reproduced or results from external causes.
  • The customer refuses a necessary hardware replacement.
  • The equipment is considered obsolete or beyond economical repair.

Liability and Customer Data

The customer is responsible for backing up their data before any intervention.

Tera24 cannot be held liable for any loss of data.

Data recovery may be attempted where possible but cannot be guaranteed.

The customer agrees to provide any necessary passwords or access credentials required to perform the service.

Tera24 undertakes to maintain the confidentiality of any data accessed during the intervention.

Software and Antivirus

Tera24 guarantees that any operating system, software or antivirus installed functions correctly at the time of installation.

The warranty does not cover issues arising afterwards, including but not limited to:

  • Malware or viruses
  • Expired licences
  • Incorrect use
  • Software updates
  • Third-party modifications

Free antivirus software is installed for convenience only. Its effectiveness and duration are not guaranteed.

Customer Refusal or Obsolete Equipment

If the customer refuses a technically appropriate solution (such as replacing a faulty component or reinstalling the operating system), the service shall be deemed completed.

Tera24 reserves the right to refuse work on equipment considered obsolete, excessively damaged or beyond repair.

Unlicensed or Pirated Software

Tera24 does not work on systems or software believed to be illegal, counterfeit or obtained unlawfully.

Should such software be discovered during the intervention, Tera24 reserves the right to immediately suspend the service without refund.

Customer-Supplied Software or Licences

Where software, operating systems or licences are supplied by the customer, Tera24 accepts no responsibility regarding:

  • Licence legality
  • Hardware compatibility
  • Medium or long-term reliability
  • Software performance

Sensitive or Illegal Content

If illegal, dangerous or ethically sensitive content is discovered during the intervention, Tera24 reserves the right to terminate the service immediately without refund.

Service Report

A service report may be provided upon prior request.

Reports are not supplied automatically.

Uncollected Equipment

Equipment left with Tera24 must be collected within 30 days after notification.

After this period:

  • A formal reminder will be sent.
  • Storage charges of €5 per week may apply.
  • The equipment may be considered abandoned and may be recycled or otherwise disposed of.

Travel Charges

Travel is included free of charge within a 20 km radius of Saint-Chamassy (24260), France.

Beyond this distance, travel charges are:

  • €10 fixed fee, plus
  • €0.50 per additional kilometre (outbound journey only).


Travel charges are always specified in the quotation.

Non-Solicitation of Subcontractors

Where Tera24 uses subcontractors or business partners to perform a service, the customer agrees not to engage those parties directly for similar services outside the scope of Tera24.

Any attempt to circumvent this provision may result in contractual or legal action.

Amendments to the Terms and Conditions

Tera24 reserves the right to amend these General Terms and Conditions at any time.

The applicable version is the one in force on the date the quotation is accepted.

The latest version is available at www.tera24.fr or upon request.

Consumer Mediation and Disputes

In accordance with Article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, the customer may also refer the dispute free of charge to the following consumer mediation service:

Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions

Acceptance of the quotation constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions.

The quotation specifies that these Terms are available at www.tera24.fr or upon request.

Acceptance may be given either by handwritten signature or electronically, depending on the method of approval chosen.
