How does remote support work?
Remote troubleshooting is carried out using TeamViewer QuickSupport, a secure tool that allows temporary remote access to your computer.
No complex installation is required: simply download the version that matches your operating system.
Once the download is complete, simply launch the program. It runs immediately and does not require installation.
Share your connection details
When TeamViewer QuickSupport is open, you will see:
- Your ID
- Your temporary password
These two pieces of information allow me to establish a secure connection to your computer.
Please provide me with the ID and temporary password displayed in TeamViewer QuickSupport, as shown in the screenshot above. These credentials are required to establish the secure connection.
Once connected, you will be able to see everything I do on your computer in real time. You can also continue using your keyboard and mouse throughout the session if needed.
The temporary password is valid only for the current session and changes automatically each time TeamViewer is restarted. This means I can never access your computer without your knowledge, your consent, and your presence.
You stay in control
Throughout the remote support session:
- You can continue using your keyboard and mouse.
- You can see every action performed on your computer in real time.
- You can end the session at any time by closing TeamViewer or clicking End Session.
Once the remote support session is complete, TeamViewer QuickSupport closes automatically.
The temporary password immediately becomes invalid, and no future connection can be established without your explicit permission.
